Scope

 

Education includes many different types of programs ranging from diplomas to PhD degrees in subject areas including Teacher Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Second Language Education, Aboriginal Education, Adult Education, Language and Literacy Education, and many others.

 

The most common programs are the Bachelor of Education or Professional Development Program (PDP) that prepare students to become Elementary or High School teachers.

 

There is much interdisciplinary work and overlap with other subject areas, especially Psychology.
